Route 66 Tanker Crash Causes Traffic Problems #hazmat #pahazmat

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A tanker and car collided in Hempfield Township early Friday afternoon, causing traffic problems. The crash was reported along Route 66 shortly after noon. The roadway was closed between the Tasty Land ice cream shop and Sink Lane. Hazmat crews were called to the scene as a precaution. Occupants of the car were taken to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
